Autovia on track with AB RACING
As previously, this year Autovia takes to the track with AB RACING, the sports division of the Porsche Centres in Rome, for the Porsche Carrera Cup Italy championship, an international format with over 12 years of history in Italy, organised by Porsche all over the world and dedicated to Porsche 911 GT3 CUP competition cars.
Since 2018 the event has featured the Porsche 911 GT3 CUP GEN. II, a car optimised for customer sports events and perfect for facilitating young drivers in their approach to the world of GT racing.
The latest generation is fitted with ABS and a four-litre, 6-cylinder boxer engine delivering 485 horsepower at 7,500 rpm. The current season, with 12 rounds subdivided across 6 weekends with races of 28 minutes + 1 lap, began with a whirlwind of emotions, with the Official Test in Imola held on 18 May and then the first two race weekends, in Misano from 4 to 6 June, and at Mugello from 2 to 4 July.
The 2021 calendar still holds many unmissable events in store:
23 – 25 July: Imola
17 – 19 September: Vallelunga
1 – 2 October: Franciacorta (Porsche Festival)
29 – 31 October: Monza
Autovia is proud to renew a partnership of this type, with the possibility of taking to the track alongside the racing drivers in top-speed competitions.
