Car rental at Catania Airport

The service was fast, efficient and at a completely fair price.

I received a fantastic car, and the administrative process during pickup and return was exceptionally fast and seamless.

After reading so many negative reviews, I was quite worried about renting from Autovia. In the end, my experience was mostly positive.

The price was very competitive, and we even received a free upgrade. We had booked a standard Ford Kuga, but instead we got a brand-new hybrid Kia Sportage with only 7,000 km on the odometer. It was a very comfortable car and made our trip much more enjoyable.

Amazing service. The guy at the front desk was really helpful, taking the time to explaining to me what the best option for me was. Likewise the guy who looked at the car when given back. Recommended and def will go back to them.

Contrary to many negative reviews I have read, my experience of Ecovia at Catania aiport could not have been better.

I was offered (and accepted) a significantly upgraded car (automatic Kia Sportage instead of manual Peugot 208) which was a nice surprise, and the car was virtually brand new - less than 7,000 km on the clock.

Good value car hire with very friendly staff at Catania. The car was well prepared although with higher mileage but you’d expect that for the price. It's a bit of a walk from the airport and a little tricky to find. My experience with the company and the women on the desk was excellent - great car, perfect condition, staff super helpful. However it’s not their fault that the car hire location and access is super difficult and chaotic. The approach to the VIP car park is ridiculously tight. Good experience overall. Smooth collection and return, and the car was as expected. For added convenience, I’d recommend getting the full insurance from the rental desk, as it makes the process quicker without needing to document any existing damage.

Used Autovia for a weeks car hire, arrived at their deck to be told that the car which was ordered was not available and then offered a smaller car which was not at all suitable. Luckily, a larger car had just been returned and was offered this one. The offer to wash the car was turned down as this would have taken time. We rent a ford cupra. The car was brand new, which was beyond expectation. The thing that made me nervous, was that it had hardly any fuel in its tank! The indicator showed that we had a reserve of 5 km! We were told that a gas station was close. Just had to find one. Also the gps was not up to date and frequently had to use google maps. Take the insurance directly with them and u won’t have problems. We had a booking.com insurance but it didn’t cover it completely as our credit card was not accepted by Autovia.. luckily we were reimbursed by booking.com but I suggest for all of you to avoid doing it and to take the insurance directly with the company to avoid problems at arrival. Giorgio who picked up the car was a nice guy as well as 2 ladies at the front desk!
